Hi! My name is Shirley Sandoz. Mystery Bay Quilt Design is the name of my company. I design quilt patterns and publish books about quilting.
I live in Washington state on the west side of Puget Sound. The climate is mild and we have beautiful views of ocean and forests. I love to hike in the nearby woods or along the water.
I belong to a wonderful quilt guild called Cabin Fever Quilters, located in Chimacum, WA. The members are a constant source of inspiration and a great resource for information about quilting and any other topic!
Please note that occasionally I will post a link to a product on Amazon that I recommend because I have found it to be useful. I belong to the Amazon Associates program, so that means I may receive a small commission if you click on the link to Amazon and then buy the product.

Hi, I am looking for speakers for our quilt guild for 2015. I have been rummaging around on your website and I love your quilts. Can you send me more info on your lectures and classes, including the cost. Thank you very much. I am from West Sound Quilters in Port Orchard, WA.
Thanks for your interest, Simone. I will reply to you privately about this; hope we can work something out!
I just completed the blocks for the Mariner’s Alphabet and discovered the colors printed on the paper for the T block is incorrect.. According to the paper instructions T-1 says White, T-2 says Red and T-3 says Red. Two or three should be Blue. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks Mary
You are absolutely right, Mary. Thanks for letting me know about this error. I will correct the pattern immediately. Shirley
Another question, this is my first piece block quilt so the next question may be my inexperience. The paper for the B block has the white triangle pointing out to the right but the photo shows it pointing in towards the red so the white is on the wrong side.
